Mattress Deep Cleaning
Mattress waterproofing is a professional treatment developed to protect fabrics against liquids, moisture, and stains. The application of a specialized solution creates a protective barrier that hinders the absorption of liquids, helping to keep the mattress in good condition for longer.
For a more complete maintenance, waterproofing can be complemented with mattress sanitization, allowing for the removal of dirt, residue, and other impurities accumulated through daily use. The combination of these two services contributes to a cleaner and more cared-for sleep environment, facilitating maintenance and helping to preserve the durability of the fabrics.
Whether for double, single, or children's mattresses, waterproofing is a suitable solution for those seeking additional protection against everyday accidents, without compromising the comfort, texture, or original characteristics of compatible fabrics.

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs
Service
What is mattress protection treatment?
It is a professional treatment that creates a protective barrier within the mattress cover fibers, helping to repel liquids and reduce the absorption of stains and dirt without altering the comfort or original appearance of compatible materials.
What types of mattresses can be protected?
The treatment can be applied to single, double and children's mattresses, including different sizes and textile covers. Material compatibility is assessed before application.
Does the protection treatment change the comfort or texture of the mattress?
No. The treatment is designed to preserve the original texture, color and comfort of compatible mattress covers.
Is mattress protection treatment safe for children's mattresses?
Yes. Once completely dry, the treatment can be used on children's mattresses with compatible covers, provided the application recommendations are followed.
Is cleaning required before protection treatment?
Yes. Professional cleaning is recommended before application to ensure the mattress cover is free from dirt and residues that could affect the effectiveness of the treatment.
Can the protection treatment be applied to old mattresses?
Yes, as long as the mattress cover is in good condition. Mattresses with heavily worn, torn or damaged fabrics should be assessed before application.
Does mattress protection treatment eliminate dust mites and bacteria?
No. The treatment is designed to protect the mattress cover against liquids and stains. Professional cleaning and specific hygiene treatments are recommended to remove accumulated dirt and help reduce dust mites and other contaminants.
Does the treatment remove odors from the mattress?
No. Its purpose is to protect against liquids and stains, not to remove existing odors. Professional cleaning and sanitization are recommended for odor removal.
Time and Drying
How long does mattress protection treatment take?
The process usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the size and characteristics of the mattress.
Can I sleep on the mattress on the same day?
Yes, as long as the mattress cover is completely dry to the touch. It is recommended to avoid spills during the first 72 hours.
Logistics
Is mattress protection treatment carried out at home?
Yes. The service is performed directly at your home without the need to move the mattress.
Do I need to prepare the space?
Only ensure access to the mattress and remove personal belongings, including sheets, pillows and other bedding.
In which areas is the service available?
The protection service is available throughout mainland Portugal.
Does the service come with a guarantee?
If any issue arises after cleaning, the situation will be assessed to find the best solution.

Result
Does mattress protection treatment prevent all stains?
No. The treatment significantly reduces liquid absorption and the risk of permanent stains but does not guarantee complete protection against all substances.
Does the treatment protect the mattress against liquids?
Yes. The treatment creates a protective barrier that makes it more difficult for liquids to penetrate the mattress cover, allowing faster removal of accidental spills.
Does the treatment protect against urine from children or pets?
The treatment helps delay absorption but does not completely prevent urine from penetrating the mattress if it remains on the surface for too long. Urine is excluded from the warranty conditions.
Does the treatment protect against sweat and moisture?
The treatment helps reduce surface moisture absorption but does not completely prevent sweat penetration or replace regular mattress hygiene and ventilation.
Does the treatment make mattress cleaning easier?
Yes. By reducing the absorption of liquids and dirt, the treatment makes regular maintenance and the removal of minor spills easier.
How often should the treatment be reapplied?
It is recommended to renew the treatment every 12 months. In homes with children, pets or intensive use, earlier reapplication may be necessary.
How long does the protection last?
Durability depends on use, friction and cleaning. On average, the treatment remains effective between 6 and 12 months.
What should I do if liquid is spilled on a protected mattress?
Absorb the liquid immediately using paper towels or a clean cloth without rubbing. If necessary, gently wipe the area with a slightly damp cloth to remove residues, avoiding excessive moisture.
Does the treatment replace a mattress protector?
No. The treatment provides additional protection to the mattress cover but does not replace a mattress protector, especially when a physical barrier against liquids is required.
